It's a pretty good dang game. The game itself is great, I really like the graphics, it's a real strategy game, and solo mode can be somewhere where you can have some fun against bots. I like how there's a play with your friend game mode now, so thanks devs! However, the ads are pretty annoying. I get it, you need to make money, but seriously? The ads are always BEFORE and AFTER a game. Overall, the game is great. 4 out of 5 😉👍

the game is good but it seems now to be very luck based. there will be games when you win by a land side with barely any trouble or effort. However there are a lot of times when you get destroyed and all of your attacks are useless. I had 10 troops and attacked the AI who only had 2, I used the blitz and lost. but it gets better, in the same turn I attack with my other territories and all attempts lost. there doesn't seem to be any middle ground in each game it's very bias to the player winning

I've played risk for decades. I loved the transition from the board game to video game. PS1 still has done it the best. This version is fun, but for a solo experience, it lacks tremendously. The AI is weak asf. You cant set the AI difficulty i.e. passive, moderate, aggressive. You cant call a truce with the comp. There is no truly free move phase. These are all options that can be added into the choices for the game that one would like to play. Contact me, Risk should be played!

Absolutely a fun game! ( Edit: I have been having issues recently with ads not loading. And each time it happens my music and sound effects go all the way down. So I have to go into settings and fix it every time it occurs. Also, each time I open up the game, it thinks I'm trying to download RISK: Big Screen Edition. Sincerely, Super Random Bros

This is a game that has a lot of potential, but is currently awful. The algorithm for battles is horrendous. If you have 7 troops in a territory, use that territory to attack an enemy territory that only has 1 troop, you will lose that battle roughly 45% of the time. Obviously you have to lose it sometimes, but it happens way too often in this game. Also, the randomly generated start is often unfair. There are also plenty of in-game purchases that suck not having. The horrible dev team ruins it.

Risk sometimes stalls. Nothing appears to be happening. When the current player timer runs out, the game does not advance. When I switch away from the app and back, it will report that it was disconnected and try (without success) to reconnect. Previous review: The problem with flipping armies is now gone. Instead on reconnection, it sometimes forgets the results of the last battle and sometimes doesn't reconnect to the game. It's still flaky if you're internet connection is not rock solid.

I have had this game installed for a very long time, I don't know probably at least 3 years maybe 4 or 5. Played it all the time. Bought extra maps. But this morning I go to play it and it's been drastically updated to something I no longer like. They took away "blizzards" and "fog of war" and made them premium features. They used to be free and added an enjoyable variation to what is a mundane game on the surface. The new user interface sucks too. Thinking I might uninstall.

The game an everything is excellent. One feature I would really like to see is to have some sort of feature that would allow to increase the time turner 2 or 3 times during the game so that we can use it when we are annihilating an opponent. It is very hard to destroy opponent at the end when the time turner is 60s or 90s.

The game is great, except for two big concerns. 1. The dice rolling is ridiculous. I have an army of 30 going against 4, I lose my entire army. Another time, 9 against 1, same thing. This happens numerous times in any given game. The AI they use for dice rolling needs drastic improvement. 2. The computer is not challenging, even on expert. It makes stupid moves that even a rookie wouldn't make.

Lately this app has been very frustrating. In a few key moments of the game, my turn is unexplicably skipped. It gives me a 3 second timer to complete my move. What is that? I've uninstalled it. Never again will I waste my time with this. Sometimes, we'd spend up to an hour or more in a very tough match with very good opponents, only for the game to skip my turn in decisive moments, leading to my defeat. Unforgivable. What's the point?

Every time they do an "upgrade" they seem to lock us out. I have been locked out most of the day on this one! Now, in another "upgrade" the card selection options do not work, although it used to work correctly. You can no longer select which card to turn in! Stop fixing it already. It's not broken. The fixes take hours or days to load and are just plain annoying.

Great game. Ads seem fairly balanced. I agree turns should add 5 seconds per attack or else you seem rushed and you can't fortify because you run out of time. Another thing is you should be able to filter by a specific map. A lot of times I have to scroll through 100 games just to find a United States map to play on. Also, it's very, very annoying how the attacker seems to always win when there are an even number of big troops or even when the attacker has less troops. Otherwise, great game!

I've been playing this app for years, in the beginning (for a period of a couple years) it was pretty unstable, buggy and generally awful to play. But recently the stability has improved a lot. What I like, besides the improved stability: They offer tons of variations on the standard risk game, and many maps and additional items that you can buy if you want. I appreciate that they've continued to work on the app to solve the underlying issues.

This has always been one of my favorite board games. I cany stop playing it. However, their calculations for rolling dice are incredibly inaccurate. It's virtually impossible for someo to take 15 territories over without losing a single troop, yet it happens ALL THE TIME in this game. They also need to fix the battery usage. Also, whatever is causing me to get kicked out of games needs to stop! I've lost too many games because of bugs!!!!!!!!

In Global Domination the 'take your turn' timer is ridiculously short. I'm assuming the timer exists to keep players from 'falling asleep' on their turn, but even when I'm paying full attention I've had multiple turns of mine cut short mid attack-phase. This usually happens when I'm trying to wipe out a player after turning in cards...there simply isn't enough time on the clock to make all the attacks you want to. And once you run out of time it doesn't let you make tactical moves either, it just passes it to the next player leaving you vulnerable. If a player is not 'asleep', they should be able to make all the moves they want to during their turn, just like the board game. Perhaps you can set the normal timer for a player to make their first move, and then set smaller 15 second timers that reset after every move. That way the game keeps moving, but then players can still do everything they want to within their turn. Game is great otherwise.

If you have an IQ under 80 this is the perfect strategy game for you. They also permit hacking and penalize you when you report a person. FlipModeOriginal hacked the game and was able to take multiple turns, not for winning cards, he just got to keep taking turns in the endgame. ANSWER: I have reported players before and my rank went down considerably each time, so I stopped. Others have said the same in the past, if you fixed that, great. He had at least 5 turns in a row, connection was fine.

I love the game of Risk. I loved this app. It was designed well, it was fun, it showed stats, it was just awesome. However, the odds on the game are TERRIBLE!!! Edit: It was on balanced blitz when I wrote this review. I reinstalled and tried it a few more times. It didn't happen to me again, but it did happen to several other ppl. A battle of 7 vs 2 and the 7 lost all but 1 and the 2 was untouched. A 15 vs 6 ended up as 1 and 5. I'm glad it didn't happen to me this time, but it's still a prob

A good looking classic game. I only have two recommendations. 1) Manual setup of army placement takes a long time. There's no way to skip the computer animations and it ends up being a third of the game with higher player counts. 2) I can't choose which cards to turn in and the computer does not always choose the best set to trade.
