Description of Yandex Translate

• Translate between any pair of the 100 languages when you’re online.
• Translate from French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, or Turkish to English while offline: download these languages and enable the offline mode in Settings.
• Speak words or phrases in Russian, Ukrainian, English, or Turkish to translate them into any of these languages, or have the app read the translations to you.
• Learn new words and their meanings through usage examples in the app’s dictionary (available for most of the currently supported languages).
• Take a picture of a menu, road sign, book page or choose a photo with text from your Camera Roll to view its translation right over the image (only available when you are online). Visual text recognition currently works for 45 languages: Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, Ukrainian and others
• Translate entire sites directly in the app.
• Select and translate single words or phrases in other apps on your smartphone running Android 6.0.
• Enjoy the app’s time-saving predictive typing function and automated language detection.
• Save translations in Favorites and view your translation history at any time.

Very good translator and recommend others to download this application; because it includes vowels.

On the positive side, this app translates all the text in a photo, you don't have to waste time cropping or selecting the part you want, just read the part you want in the translated text, which is presented clearly over the top of the original. It's great, except - compared to most other apps I have tried - the actual translations are far less accurate. If the translations were better then this would get 5 stars from me.

I switched to it from Google Translate because it suits me better. It has an excellent offline mode with automatic language detection. The application has a built-in ability to translate from images (this is not accurate, but at least gives you an idea of what is written in the stores of Georgia). The user interface looks good, especially in dark mode. Web version has more to offer (e.g. autocorrection)

Best app I've seen so far for translating Russian to English and vice versa. My only point of dissatisfaction with it is that when translating a word with a stress mark (for example, образо́ванная) the app only presents a literal translation, without a semantic definition and a list of synonyms, as it usually does. Without the availability of these features, it is often difficult to ascertain the exact meaning of a word, as there are a lot of synonymous and semantically-varied words in Russian.

The app doesn't work for photos. Translates 10% of words but the online translator works fine.

This app is awesome. You can see a context of a word which you translate with sentences below this word. Also, you can translate words from different browsers faster with this app.

Sync doesn't work at all. I have the same account on my mobile phone and desktop. I don't see any words what I have added to a collection from my phone on a desktop version. It freaks me out...
