If you want to know what yesterday's weather was in a random small town nowhere near where you live then this is the app for you! In other words, the location detection and ability to show up to date information are utterly terrible. Which is a shame because on my computer this app works well.

App is working fine again. But it's very outdated and could do with a redesign at some point. Main advantage of this app for me is that the view when started is very clean. And the hourly view of the weather is something other apps do have but in this one it doesn't just show temperature but also precipitation expectations per hour.

If you want spam, this is the app for you... It has less features then the desktop version, even doesn't have all the layers for weather maps for whatever reason. So it's 70% as useful as the desktop app. But then the spaaam! So... Many... Notifications... THIS IS A WEATHER APP! WHY ARE YOU SPAMMING ME WITH STUPID AI GENERATED NEWS ARTICLES THAT I NEVER ASKED FOR AND EVEN TRIED TO OPT OUT OF?! I will never condone this new trend of forcing ads down someone's throat, and these are ads...

MSN weather app favorites finally got fixed, maybe a year ago. That's great. M$, though, decided to make several apps, including this 1, into multipurpose apps, so when I go to check weather in Florida, I can unintentionally end up viewing news or markets data. I'm a liberal thinker, but I have to lean right on this programming philosophy.

This app doesn't auto update to current day of the week. Today is Saturday & the app is showing Friday weather. Got a screen shot to notify MSN about that problem but the app does not have an option CONTACT US. I'm not going to spend my time looking where to provide feedback. Uninstall is my option. I'm using Android phone.

They've turned this app from a masterpiece to a piece of trash. The weather predictions themselves are still pretty accurate but the functionality of the app is pretty much bad. Want to see forecast maps? Microsoft delivers: one instance for base functions/news/msn stuff, one for weather forecast, one for maps. Which, maps themselves, have a pretty bad performance. From the best app to the most mediocre one at best. Shame on you, MSFT, for ruining another of your products.

This app is NOT working anymore, it used to be truly accurate/reliable. But now, after install, when you try select the location (by gps-wifi-carrier or by searching manualy) it literaly does nothing. Tryed on Motorola, Huawei and ZTE devices. The same result. You can't select location... Of course, you can use the weather service via any browser and can make a shortcut or a favorite tab, but sincerely, is not the same thing. In this stage this app is absolutely USELESS.

App is slow, delays days, duplicates itself... It's nothing like MSN weather on internet browsers (which is the best weather). Delays Days: it will say today yet be stuck on a past day. Slow: when refreshing the page to reload to the accurate day, it takes several attempts to update Duplicates Itself: more times than not, when I click my window button to close out, there will appear 2 windows rather than one.

Dismal performance. Does not update on opening so forecast is for the past. Also, for some reason I don't understand, it runs multiple instances all of which appear to be the same and equally out of date. Has some nice map features and is nicely localized.

Weathy report is accurate most of the times. I see an issue with widget though. It doesn't give me any results while searching (it could automatically pick the location I set but it's not). So unable to use widget. An additional feature I and many might appreciate would be a live wallpaper, showing the current weather. Thanks, keep improving.

Update: Removed another star as I can't add widget anymore. Only option is to search, instead of using GPS location (removed?) when attempting to add widget. Normally not a problem, but search for my location returns nothing. I'm in Canada, so I tried New York as a test but that also returned nothing! So, it feels like something broke. The info you can get within the app is nice and ads are not that prevalent compared to others. The weather accuracy is not the best, but it's decent.

Update: Recently it doesn't show the e-tree tasks, which has resulted in me losing my streak. It's a nice looking app but there are issues. First of all, it doesn't update the forecast after opening it; unless, you pull down to manually refresh. Secondly, the forecast data is not as accurate as other apps.

This app is nothing more than a MSN Web browser, the screenshots are from the old (proper) app! Weather details are mined in from the MSN website on its own tab PWA style. You can then open other tabs, just as your normal browser, which take you to a version of the MSN homepage. Oh, it's also full of adverts too. Absolutely avoid (especially for those on a limited data plan, which these app developers never think of when filling their apps with adverts and other useless bloat).

I was impressed with MSN Weather on my Windows laptop. Hence, downloaded it on my phone. But the Android app is buggy. Inspite of having access to my location, it keeps picking up locations near my actual location, but not mine. Also, one should have the ability to delete locations, not just add them.

At first, the app showed me the accurate weather forecast for Glasgow (-1°C), but then it changed to 31°C by itself. It would only show me the true temperature if I clicked on the 'current location' option, but otherwise, it saved the weird and incorrect forecast for Glasgow on the home page, and I can't seem to change it. I also cannot add any new cities into 'Favourites'. I search for a city, press search, but nothing happens. Frustrating.

If I could I'd give it zero stars. When you start the application you are given a choice between detecting your location or setting a default location. If you select the latter there is no way to actually enter the default location. When I tried to contact the developer my email was rejected because the developer's server was misconfigured! So my only choice is to give a bad review. The Windows 10 version works well, but the Android version doesn't, and hasn't been updated since Mar 2019.

The biggest benefit of MSN weather is the breadth of their map selection/layers. Turns out those exist only on the desktop experience. Downloaded the app, went to check the map layers, and was immediately disappointed and deleted the app. Hopefully the devs can take the info from the site and serve it on the app. Until then, I'd recommend downloading another weather app

I love the interface, and the app is very informative for a free app, and would be great, but it's old, not being updated and it's becoming incompatible with the phone, because everything else is being regularly updated. It glitches a lot: shuts down when you open it, not updating the weather, though the notification thingy on top appears regularly but not doing anything. The worst is that it shuts down my phone sometimes. I hope they will write some update for it because I really like this app
