Description of Spond - Sports Team Management

Spond makes it easy to organize groups for either children or adults, and you can invite to events, share posts and pictures. Spond handles sending out invites through either SMS, email or app and collects all the answers to give you a full overview.

Would be perfect if the send immediately vs send on date function worked. I have parents accepting events months in advance when they should only be able to see them. I have to delete the event and create another (because you can't adjust once sent - fair enough) but even when I've been very careful to delay the send, it goes out immediately. This bug renders the availability feature useless, espicially in Covid times where availability changes by the day

Nice app, but has stopped sending me notifications a while back. My phone and its settings haven't changed, it started after an update to Spond and has not recovered since. Therefore I am often late in seeing events/posts that need a timely reply. Followed the FAQ troubleshooting and all is configured as should be. Phone is Samsung Galaxy S9+

I do love this app - it's stable, easy to use, UI is great and a million times better then trying to sort match availability through a WhatsApp group! Some suggestions that would be much appreciated: - Allow more payment methods. Would be great to allow me to track payments due and paid for events without having to provide account details. - Could you allow different data types for custom member fields please? E.g. tickbox/dropdowns. Other than that, I think the app is really brilliant!!

Please fix predictive text, autocorrect, and other keyboard functions (like capitalizing first word, double space period, capitize i) in the android app. Only workaround I have found is turning on Google Translate and setting it for English to English. Still doesn't do everything, but at least get predictive selections.

Great app for managing teams and upcoming events. Would be useful to be able to allocate a colour to the teams within personal settings so that at a glance you can differentiate between different clubs/teams upcoming games (this may be an option but I havent found it!)

Love the app. Great to be able to respond to training sessions / matches / tournaments and also chat to coaches / other parents. Only issue is push notifications do not always work and sometimes you cannot see latest messages. You have to kill the background process and reopen to get it working. Fix that and it's 5* from me.

This is by far the best sports organisation app about. A couple things that could make it better. I run a football club and a couple casual games. It would be useful if I can invite cross groups as one offs. Secondly in my casual games I have sub groups regulars/non regulars etc. A feature where I can automatically opted a group (e.g. regulars) into the event as in and auto invites based on different times for the sub groups would be great.

Updated: previous review was due to an update which caused issues. Spond very quickly fixed and sent me a message and all working again so Updated review back to 5 *. Thank you Really liked this app, but seems since the last update I don't get notifications...never had a problem before and have used for couple of years. A number of teams parents not receiving recently either, so not just my phone. Really hope it is fixed ASAP as without notification when post an event not as useful

Excellent app. Clear, configurable and stable. Highly recommended. Only negative is that you can't see events more than 6 months ahead which means you can't see your whole season. This needs to be changed so you can see a year ahead on the schedule please.

I really want to give this 5 stars, but on my android phone I can't get the notification numbers on the App icon to work. For example, now it says I have 9 notifications. I open the App and there is nothing new. And the numbers change sporadically. I have raised this with customer support, and they said to uninstall the app and re-install. That didn't work. It did clear the notifications, but then the bogus ones appeared again. I never got a follow up when I raised it with them again.

Overall very good. Only extra feature I'd like is that I'm a member of 2 clubs which use spond and in one I'm an administrator. It would be great if I could switch between them without having to log in and out of the app similar to how you can in most email programs.

My experience of Spond has been good - until today. Now I am locked out of two hitherto regular tennis sessions without finding any way back in. I havee hitherto been one of 2 administrators which has added to the aggravation. Incidentally, I now find that I cannot review what I wrote in the previous line, which I find unacceptable.

This app has made managing our sporting club much easier! We compared three different apps and this by far was the most intuitive and cleanest one available. Love being able to set events, have polls and different subgroups. Suggestions: Being able to set recurring events on specific dates (e.g. select a bunch of dates on a calendar) as they may not always be uniform e.g. fortnightly Set to-do tasks - we've set up an 'admin/ committee' subgroup, and being able to set tasks that can be assigned

Absolutely unreliable, For months I am having problems with payments, they only go into my account after like 5-6 WEEKS! Tried changing the payments to weekly, daily, still the same. A piece of scam app that only cares about their fees.

Since the last update (early March 2023), no notifications are being received. Checked all my settings, and should get them. Others on my team aren't getting them either. Prior to that, it was a very useful app, and still has useful features, but not if people don't see there are new events, polls or messages posted.
